NEW AMENITIES BLOCK COMPLETED

NSW Nationals Upper House MP Sam Farraway said more than $159,000 in improvement work has been completed at Brewarrina Caravan Park under the NSW Government’s Crown Reserves Improvement Fund.

Mr Farraway said the upgrades to the caravan park’s amenities block was supported with a $136,754 grant from the NSW Government’s Crown Reserves Improvement Fund.

“It’s great to report that a complete renovation of the amenities building has now been completed at Brewarrina Caravan Park to benefit local users as well as tourists,” Mr Farraway said.

“The improvement work has included a new surface water drainage system, new plumbing fixtures, replacement of floor and wall tiles, new seating benches and shower screens, and painting of the building.

“Also there has been replacement of damaged external cladding, guttering and downpipes, and replacement of a damaged external concrete slab entrance.

“Brewarrina Caravan Park is a popular location for travellers visiting the region offering a range of accommodation options including cabins, caravan and camping sites, so these new modern amenities will be put to very good use.”

Minister for Water, Property and Housing Melinda Pavey said the improvement works are part of upgrades occurring state-wide to Crown land reserves.

“The Crown Reserves Improvement Fund (CRIF) maintains and develops recreational and tourism facilities on public reserves for community use and enjoyment, while also supporting local businesses and economies,” Mrs Pavey said.

“Protecting and enhancing Crown land reserves is essential for the well-being of communities and our environment, and to support recreation, tourism, business, and local economies.”
